floor tiling - vibrating floor ?

I instend to tile my kitchen and utility room soon.
The kitchen floor seems stable enough so I will take up the old vinyl and am happy to do that.
The question I have relates to the stability of the utility room. I noticed when the washing machine is on, that in that room there is a lot of vibration and the floors seem slightly springy.
Will this affect the ability for the tiles to stay secured ?

Springy and tiles do not go together. If your floor is springy, your tiles will come loose.

Is there anyway to test this on the floor when the machine isn't on?
i.e. jump up and down on it

I'm not sure what you mean. But just to be clear, you don't put tiles on any surface that is "springy".

What I mean is how can you be sure the floor is sturdy enough.
i.e. to test it what would you do if you were unsure?
As far as I know, the floorboards are fine and are covered with thin plywood ready for doing something like tiling.
I can't be sure of whether the wood is in a suitable condition though - age, rotting, etc. ?

Like I said, any springyness is too much. Forget testing it.

What I mean is how can you be sure the floor is sturdy enough.

By jumping up and down on it and it not being springy.
