floorboards

hi i was wondering if anyone would be able to advise me on which is the best timber to use to replace all the floorboards in a room

Unless you have very deep pockets pine is the way to go. B&Q used to do a nice French Pine with nice grain but I haven't seen it for a while. A wood merchant is cheapest.
 
IT all depends on how much you want to spend, i would say T&G floorboards are the cheapest (2f x 8f ) they cover a large area for the price you pay. If it's going to be carpeted and you are not selling for a while T&G is best imho. ;)
