But its the way forward, back in the day they had big 5L 6 in line's, with two speed transmission, granted that's a while ago.
Back not that long ago, 1.9 was the common diesel size, now its more like 1.4L or 1.2L
But its all good, if they only made them more friendly when they have a problem, less expensive to find out the cure.


Well legislation due in 2016 mean that all diagnostic information must be made available to 3rd parties, and not just authorised dealers, so maybe.

That'll be a step forward. When it happens.
You have to wonder though. All this technology to get 120bhp per litre out of a turbocharged engine. Normally aspirated motorbike engines fitted with carbs, and no "engine management" were giving 100bhp per litre way back in the 80s.
You also have to wonder about a car with the latest aerodynamics and so on, that only returns a "real world" 33mpg. only slightly better than my late 80s 1800 Passat used to.
That's progress?
