Watched a fox and 3 cubs ( think it was 3) get hit by a 4X4 Jeep thingy on home from a call out tonight.

Would have stopped but had a kebab anyway.

I bet you saw a UFO and nearly ran down Lord Lucan too.

Lower

Troll or no troll hes so easy to wind up ;)

His type (anti) does not bother me, but we seem to bother him

Interesting how people come into a topic about fox hunting and when the going gets tough they are unable to articulate their view without reverting to childish banter...

You would best serve your cause if you could put up a good (argument) debate in support of your hunting beliefs instead of lowering the the tone of discussion to school yard level.

A local man was knocked off his bike and killed at the end of the lane no too long ago, sad but accidents are a fact of life.

No loss either way, bet I am now affiliated to multiple murder and await an attack from the P4 activist.

You place far too much importance on yourself and have a distinct lack of understanding.

Each are allowed a view on things, most discuss or hold a vote. Our ex con thinks attacking someone making death threats ( being burried alive is the jist of the words used by the person intended in his response) and saying they may have killed is a lame excuse for a thug.
Also saying they would again.

Fact of the matter is that I was in that situation (25 years ago) and yes he was a lucky man. One thing is for sure, he will think twice before he goes near my family or another for that matter.

Well as said before, you have a family now. Why the change? Go kill, see the suffering you cause................but of course your too shallow to let it effect your life, just fook others.
Brave man......................not.

First I throw fishermen in the river now I'm a killer LMAO

You should have a good read of your replies to me. You are the only one to display a violent tendency toward me in particular. Making veiled threats.......
You can't keep a lid on your emotions by the looks of things and display anger issues.

Animals die, they were hunted and killed before you, I ,and our families ever lived and will always. For eating or target practise or fun. Live with it.

Yes people have hunted for food for thousands of year, you will also find cultures who don't hunt and have survived without eating meat, gone on for thousands of years also.... Your point is?

Go into a jungle and when confronted by a Tiger, shout and wave I`m on your side.
Lets see how long it feels your life should exist.

Now that would be a very silly thing to do now wouldn't it? Difference is that wild animals run off instinct for survival, we on the other hand pop down to the local Tesco. Empathy and the ability to make informed decisions is what sets us apart from wild animals.

Yes you will argue again, pointlessly as usual.
Vermin kill, shave profits from farmers.
You seem to want them to exist, passing on diseases.

Yet claim to want the countryside to progress, or is it go back a few hundred years?

Yes it would seem it is pointless because you are incapable of responding to discussion without making things up or responding when quoted.

The countryside has allot of recovering to do but much of the problem can be traced back to bad farming practise, farmers are now going back to basics in many respect. Some good farmers out there.

You see a field with cows in or grain and think it's the countryside

I thought it was interesting that a man that shot foxes used the word barbaric to describe hunting them with dogs.

I think any hunter essentially has mental problems, just as deranged as psychos that are locked up.

What kind of mentality can derive pleasure from killing anything ?
Its widely recognized in psychiatric circles that a lot of unstable motiveless killers usually tortured animals in their childhood and eventually in adulthood for bigger kicks moved on to people.

Anne Widdicombe said something like

"A lion can chase the honorable gentleman and well see how he likes it"
when a cretin in parliament said deers like to be hunted.

A typical comment from low life upperclass chavs.

I find it interesting when people spout on all about supporting farmers and the countryside then do their weekly shop at Tescos etc  best way to support farmers would be to buy local. Farmers struggle because people support them so.....

I also find it interesting when you see walkers allow their dogs to crap all over footpath then climb all over field gates. My cottage is directly across from the start of a footpath and I've lost count of the amount of times the farmer has had to fix the hinges because people climb all over it!!

Mmmm, support I think isn't needed.

And do you believe that this applies worldwide or only in "civilised" cultures.
Are you honestly telling me that a tribesman/woman living in the remote Arctic Circle that has to hunt animals in order to survive has mental issues? We are a species of hunters, we only don't do it now due to the convenience of food being available in thousands of different ways. But ask yourself, would you be so believing in animal welfare if you were left with the stark choice or hunt or die?

For the record, I do not approve of Fox Hunting, it seems to me like a pointless exercise with no real purpose - to me that is, others obviously see a purpose and may derive pleasure from it.

There's a difference between hunting for food and hunting for fun. The latter has a screw loose.

I agree Joe, 100% I agree. I'm just querying the blanket use of Hunters have mental problems statements.
Yep hunting for fun is just plain wrong. But when it's necessity well why be tarred with the same brush?

"Since its inception in 1984 as the national representative organization of all Inuit women in Canada, Pauktuutit has spoken out about and placed a high priority on addressing violence and abuse against Inuit women and children. Over the last 26 years, violence and abuse have consistently been identified by the Pauktuutit Board of Directors and delegates to Pauktuutit’s Annual General Meetings as a priority issue. Inuit communities continue to report the need for crisis and long-term counselling, safe shelters and training of Inuit front-line workers in order to address these issues. Mental health has been indentified as the primary health issue facing Inuit, including issues related to violence, abuse and unresolved trauma, but the lack of sustained resources has meant that change is painfully slow."

Oh right, one report and they must ALL be mental.
And linking physical abuse of women to hunting in a tenuous manner.
Peaps, I get it, you are passionate about protecting what you believe in, good on you.
But not everyone in the world that hunts is an animal hating nut job. They might be wife beaters according to the report but is that representative of ALL of the tribes (not just Inuits that live in the AC).
I agree that hunting for sport is not on, but like your belief that we should not kill animals I don't believe that everyone should be branded the same because of a report or a set of statistics.

Cannot be bothered to read all the threads.

A fox will kill for the fun of it. It does as you must know get into a chicken coup and kill all the chickens and may only eat some of one of them. It has a jolly old fun time and saunters off with a big smirk on its face thinking those birds are just useless, I am sick of them keep breeding all the time and not paying any rent. Crapping every where. What blood use are they!! If I had a gun I'd just shoot them, save all this dashing around at I don't know, what time in the night. Now what I could do with is a good sh-g !

So you ran him over because he got too within 100m of your idyllic country cottage.
Were you that engrossed in your anti this and anti that and failed to realise it was the postman delivering your benefit cheque.

Never mind **** happens and the bl00dy foxes keep multiplying, and more lambs are mutilated.

I on the other hand have to brave the wind, snow and hail to get peaps another tail for his trophy cabinet. ;)

"Overcrowded housing and the lack of housing options, poverty, lack of employment and/or skills, substance abuse and the lasting effects of colonization, residential schools and intergenerational trauma are all key issues that further contribute to Inuit women being vulnerable to ongoing abuse. The extreme housing crisis across the Arctic often means that for women living with violence in the home there may be no other safe housing options, and the cost of air travel to seek safety in another community can be prohibitively expensive."

Please read the link...

I wouldn't suggest all hunters go onto kill etc But there is a link between psychopath killers and animal abuse from an early age..

Interesting how high the level of violence exists in these communities though...
