Apparently he was too young to have a car licence, was in a Polish registered car and was carrying two passengers. They've had more than their fair share of terrorist attacks in France so you can’t blame the police for being a bit jumpy.

Depends. If I was an armed copper in Paris and had witnessed numerous terrorist attacks, had stopped someone at gunpoint and they tried to escape, I’d certainly consider it.

The kid was known to Police as he had form for doing exactly the same thing i.e. driving without a licence and refusing to stop for Police.
He was due in Court in September for those previous offences.
I have French family both in Britany and Vendee, all is well around there .. Paris is the worst ..
