Freeview pixelating

The signal was actually really good. I did retune but still had all the pixelations. Swapped TVs and it's working fine - so I deduce that it's my TV that's the problem. It's a good TV and just wondering if it could be something easily fixed

this might sound daft but why not take to where your borrowed tv came from and tune it in there as a tv in two locations even in the same house can get different results even 2 different makes can react differently
other things to note
connect via your laptop with a hdmi cable and try and link it as a remote monitor then if it works you can watch it as monitor via i player or what ever even if the tuner is duff
