Freeview Play Issues

Only allows replay of programs on the channels with apps.
Many channels have no such feature . Even on those offering replay do not offer it for all programs .
What’s Huth?

I know a neighbour with FP can watch missed BBC programmes by scrolling back, so I assume I could too.

I'll give LG or Freeview a ring.

I can't find channel 100 on our LG TV but I have installed the Freeview Play App. But I'm not sure what the advantages are of going through this app are above just going straight to the iPlayer app or whatever?

I'm new to page 100, never bothered with it before, but looking at it yesterday, it seems able to search all the online catchup channels, as though they were one. Or you decide on a category, say films, and it shows you a list of all the films, on all of the channels.

Can you not find the Freeview Play App then?
TBH, I'm not sure what you mean. The TV has Freeview Play baked in, so I can go to 100 and browse stuff. And when you select the guide, you are supposed to be able to scroll back up to 7 days and watch stuff that you have missed, or want to watch again.
On my old Sammy Freeview TV, you could not scroll backwards in the TV guide.

I thought the FP app was intended only for devices that did not have it already.

Could you not try a reset or unplug it, wait 10 mins and power it up again?
That is a good shout and something I have overlooked...

Exact model number might help with a 'foible' of it.
(Plus trawl the other forums e.g. DigitalSpy and AVForums for that model range and issues with it?)

The Freeview Play implementation on my Panny TV is a nightmare. (First time I tried it after owning it for well over a year just now). The Hisense in bedroom is a tad better IIRC but still a pita.

Far easier to go to iPlayer and search for Homes... and add it to a favourites/watchlist for future use

My LG has a setting you can turn on, which takes notice of what you frequently watch, then a reminder pops up on screen, if it is about to start, with you on a different channel.

My LG does. They appear along the bottom of the screen. They also appear, when the set is turned on, sometimes difficult to get rid off.
Exactly the same here, I find if I turn the TV off when an App is open (any one) then when it's turned back on it's on the Home Screen and sometimes needs a few clicks on the remote to get it to start responding properly, so I always return to a freeview channel before turning off which seems to make for an easier start up.

We tend to turn the living room TV on, before entering the LR, using Alexa, so it is already booted up by the time we go in.
