Fridge motor won't stop running

I have a 6 year old Frigidaire RL6003B which has worked fine until now. The motor is now running all the time. The fridge gets cold but not excessively so. Am I likely to get problems with a fridge this old? Is there a DIY fix? Or is it time to buy a new fridge?

Run your hands over the outside of the fridge looking for cold patches. If you find a lot of them, the insulation has broken down.
