Full fat yogurt

Wannabe, there might be more important things, but health is the foundation of a person and their mental health and wellbeing. You are short sighted in the extreme if you don't recognise diet as playing a role in it.
Exercise is just as important.Get yourself out more instead of spending hundreds of hours on here dreaming up topics.

Its true, but you can't out run the fork. I do about 8-10 hours of gym and 4-6 hours of cycling a week. So that's 1kg of human body fat burned in exercise a week. I fast a day a week and eat whatever I want the other 6 days. As long as you are getting a balance I wouldn't worry too much if your BMI is good.

About 15% I used to do time trial races and endurance MTB and given my age I don't look good with less fat according to the mrs.
I'm semi retired.

If you want to do something, you make time for it.
Where anyone "finds the time" to vegetate in front of "the soaps" baffles me, but they do.

I still to this day get weird looks if I say I know nothing about East Enders, UK Star? Dancing with Stars? etc - I don't watch any soaps or reality rubbish.

I'm always coming back from an injury - I enjoy any sport but have a proclivity to injure myself - had about 6 ops all due to sports injuries. But wouldn't change a thing. I'm into Yoga now - really helps.

I swim, but despite wearing ear plugs, get recurrent ear infection (which is miserable). Suffering with one at the moment:unsure:

I had to really wind it back following a back injury about 2 years ago. Since then I've taken up body balance and pilates, which I don't particularly enjoy, but it does mean I'm doing all the proper stretching I need to.

Thankfully I only ever had my joints injured and not my back. Actually Ive been operated on by the same surgeon for all my injuries. He put me off skiing - ski injuries were his money maker!

Public pool or a private gym pool?

They just dump chlorine into public pools.

Normal ears should not suffer from infection from swimming.
Perforated ear drum will pretty much always cause problems.
Too much or build up of ear wax will give the symptoms of ear problems but may be acting normally.
Get your ears checked by a specialist.
I also suffered for many years. Measles as a kid caused mine, so I am told. I had an eardrum skin graft many, many years ago and have since been scuba diving and many other water activities without problems.
It was an overnight stay in hospital.

It is quite a science to achieve a comfortable water environment.
I would probably back a public employee over a private pool employee any day for proper water treatment, but it may depend on a conversation to explore their understanding.
It is not the amount of chlorine that determines the ideal pool environment, but the pH of the water. The closer to the natural pH of the eyes (about 7.4), that you can achieve, the more the pool water is suitable for activities.
Chlorine is important for the breakdown of pathogens, and there is an optimal amount of chlorine that should be introduced. (research breakpoint of chlorination, which is more about speed of disinfection)
Additional amounts of chlorine added after the breakpoint has little value, but does not necessarily induce discomfort, other than it affects the pH.
