Boiler immersion heater element packed in, which caused mcb fuse to trip..

The heating immersion element is being replaced; the MCB fuses are fine; but fusebox for boiler section power output is zero, after checking.

Everything else works on fusebox except boiler power output-there are other fuses connected to this- they are ok, power into the mainwire is zero hence no output from fusebox(boiler section). Is this a safety feature hence no power output to boiler? Do i need to call the sparky?

all ideas greatfully received

You need to check the supply FROM the immersion MCB. It is possible that the MCB is now faulty although if its a decent make it will normally take 6000A breaking current.
If this is ok then start checking thje supply cables to the immersion. You will need at the very least a multimeter to measure voltage and continuity.

Please do not tell us you are using a neon screwdriver to check this circuit.

Is this the first time the mcb has tripped? , because as said already they have a breaking capacity of 6ka(most do)but they can often only handle a couple of heavy duty breaks before they fail.

Have you checked the 13amp fuse inside the fuse-connection unit to the immersion? (The Switched white box beside the immersion, with a small hatch in it for the fuse, and possibly a neon indicator too, supplying the flex to the immersion).
