I would certainly tell him it was a bit low and suggest he check his neighbours.Winston
What would you say to a person living in the UK whose mains supply voltage is about 225 volts for most of the time. ?
Should he complain to his DNO that he is not getting 240 volts which you claim is the voltage the UK operates on.
If he took the supplier to court for breach of the supply contract would you be prepared to provide "expert witness" support to his claim in the court room. ?
A friend on a farm in Kent had exactly this and on a bad day it dropped to 190v. He got onto the DNO who eventually put a new cable in. He’s now getting the usual 240v.
