no they cant go any further back tryed that but thanks

Is there something ie: part of the wall. preventing the worktop from going back, or is it just too small for the units. Did you get them from the same shop/same range. You might have to cut an inch or so off the back of the units.

yes got them from the same shop i think there is a dip in the wall which cant see by eye.

Can't you get an upstand for the back of the worktop? These can be manipulated to take out some of the offset from the wall.

do u mean splashbacks are gonna get them but the gap is to big they fall down

Are you sure you have the right worktops? Having a gap that big just due to the wall not being stright doesn't sound right? Does the wroktop touch the wall at any point?

Seems a bit odd. Worktops are usually 600mm, and cabinets about 550 - 580. So if, as you say, the backs of the cabinets are against the wall, how much of an overhang have you got at the front?

Is the wall a long way out of true, or has it got big pipes or skirting keeping the cabinets out?

hi, i think you need to scribe the worktop back to the wall. If the worktop is touching at both ends but not in the middle then take a normal compass and set it the size of the gap then run this all the way up the worktop, this will leave a pencil mark on the bits that need removing. cut those bits of and the worktop will go back. if the gap at the back is bigger than the overhang at the front then you need to scribe the units back to the wall or buy a wider worktop.

If you are coming from a corner with the worktop and this is running out, you need to throw the joint ie the joint is a perfect right angle and your wall isnt then it will run out.

If you need anymore help let me know

i have a 3 cm overhang at the front and there is no pipes or skirting boards at the back and the cabients are hard up to the wall.
