Rooms that heat up quicker often cool down quicker. For example a room with insulated plasterboard will heat up quicker than one with thick stone walls and external insulation. However, once heated, the stone wall becomes a heat store.
Humans emit about 100W of heat each. The people sitting in the more regularly used rooms will keep it warmer, and some of this heat will remain overnight until the next day.
