Hi I am after some advice and help if possible. I am looking to build a garden rook at the bottom of my garden (Man Cave / Bar & Shed). Its is approx 40m away and slopes away from house to bottom of the garden. One of the design features I want to incorporate is a toilet save people walking up and down the garden.

In terms of current infrastructure I have a couple of down pipes but I have no sewage or man holes at the back of the property.

I was looking at the following:

1. Saniflow (one what pumps up the garden) if so can that waste pipe be above ground or does it need to be buried and what are these like ?
2. Caravan style toilet system so maybe a macerator into a caravan style case and then emptying (not ideal but an option)

This is purely for number 1 no crapping allowed. Anyone got any ideas on which way to go with this at all

Cheers in advance

To be honest I was thinking maybe having a toilet like a saniflow and it outputs into a caravan casette so athletics look ok

With a caravan style of toilet, you do not need a macerator at all. Idea is, that below the toilet, is a holding tank. In a caravan, that holding tank would slide out, via an external door. You then just carry (or wheel) the tank, to an emptying point. No smell at all, you just pour a chemical in the tank, before each use.

That’s what I am thinking question for you can I use a toilet like you would have in the house so no difference I to one of those (that’s why I thought of saniflow) because of the waste pipe ? Appreciate your thoughts

Yes, you can use a normal house type toilet, but the only way would be to include a Saniflow, plus all the pipe work up the garden. The pipework would need to be buried, to protect it from freezing and bursting, plus discharge, suitably, into a drain.

by saniflow do you mean a macerator?
you could just use that blue plastic pipe, I doubt it would freeze and burst (it might if it was -10 for days on end) and even if it did its hardly a major disaster. I would bury it a bit so as you can't see it but no need for 2 feet down, , and i'm sure it would handle poo just fine.
