Well it is looming up on us and in a few months it will be here. We will have politics rammed down our throat morning noon and night. Could we perhaps have a seperate subject for it when it comes or ban it all together?
The media also picked up on how the tories changed the local boundaries to influence the votes in order for them to gain a second term in office let's not forget that.david and julie said:Well I reckon the run up to the election as already started, on this forum!
Did you hear the news tonight? apparently some areas are holding back council tax bills till after the election because the rises are so much. They must think the electorate are a right thick bunch, cynical s**s.

Like all bills Gas electric etc they go up it's expected, nothing to moan about if they are holding back, it gives you longer at the cheaper rate so what's wrong with that? there are no rules to say when the rates should go up so i think you should look on it as a bonusdavid and julie said:This isn't done for that reason kendor.

In the area I live Sale (Trafford) very strong Tory area in the past, we were split and half was amalgamated into Wythenshawe which is one of biggest council estates in the country. I can't recall that being anything but Labour. Can't see how the tories would of let that happen if they could of stopped it really, Trafford was always considered one of their jewels.
I thought the boundary commision was non party political, part of the civil service isn't it?
