Do you think that, if I disguise it with leaves and branches, I can get rid of my old fridge this way?
Joking apart, I have an old ladder (well, half a ladder) that's just taking up room in our garage. I might just try that. There's a cache listed five minutes from our home. I looked for it several times, returning bloodied by branches and thorns and without finding it. I placed and registered my own cache, only to have it rejected because it was apparently 100m from an existing cache. I searched for that one, too, but failed to find it. I'm not cut out for this hobby!
I started this recently...only have about 35 so far...my issue is ill see that im going somewhere, check if their are any chaches nearby, then when i get to that area ill have no signal and locating them is impossible. Vodafone suck for signal!

is something I have been saying for quite some time.
I wonder whether the cost to councils of clearing up fly tipping exceeds the cost that would be incurred if they agreed to pick up domestic waste more frequently (and without extra charge).
I live near the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland, some of the most breath-taking scenery in the UK (I am biased). There are lots of geocache points here and all over the whole province. I have spent many enjoyable afternoons searching for them with the added bonus of seeing our beautiful country.
This is why we like it. It gives you something to do on those boring days and lets you see some places and things that you otherwise wouldn't know existed.
Its a great hobby to get the family out instead of staying in with internet and tv! Although i must admit i prefer to leave them at home and go caching on my own or with the dog!
I find the same, when working in some peoples' (I use the term advisedly) houses.
My missus thinks that "Life of Grime" is made up. I know that it is toned down, otherwise, the general population would think that it was fabricated for "entertainment"
I was in Tenerife recently and found 5 geocaches while we were there. A great hobby which costs very little. It's surprising how many are hidden (almost) in plain sight.
I don't do this, but I have found a cache by accident! While I was walking my dogs...
