George Davis Is Innocent!

That brings back memories.
I was born in East London & still remember the one on the Stepney East railway bridge, subsequently renamed trendy “Limehouse” (I was a city commuter at he time). I’m sure there was also one on an M1 motorway bridge; my god it seems so long ago I’m quiet frightened by it

yeah one on the M1 bridge.
Another at top of Calendonian Road jsut past Kings Cross. Think its still there or part of it.

Thanks Chainsaw, I'm assuming that you are or were from the area too. Is it still there do you know or has it been re-developed like everything else?
Not from there, Squeaky, but in the late 70’s early 80’s I was working in the city. We used to do an occasional sojourn to Limehouse for TGF as it was very well-known in those days - much revered for its fresh seafood and non-use of msg. It still seems to be listed in several on-line directories but I took a glimpse on googlemaps and got Ocean Building Supplies - this was using postcode E14 7PG. I reckon Chinese food has fallen away a bit in popularity terms over the last few years. Perhaps Thai cuisine is now a more preferred choice?

This one is right by Canary Wharf and no MSG, really nice food.
