Glass balustrade or simple mdf for rental

I’m moving out of my house and will rent it to possibly Nigerian tenants here in a small 2 bedroom terraced house in Manchester

Is it worth putting glass balustrade for being low maintainance or would you rather just raise the side wall and put some painted mdf ?

My house is the one with the white walls in the attached photos where the side wall has been chopped really low

I'd go cheap as possible.
B@Q have stair kits that are easy to assemble.
I think glass will get damaged but if that's cheap enough go for that.
