Good news possibly?

That's what the quitters told us...

Funny how that 'assertion' is slowly and conveniently being back tracked upon!

Yes.

I don't see anywhere near the 52% taking any responsibility.

Many are back tracking. Including on this very forum.

Easy to think that when enjoying a great deal of freedom.
Yes, you are probably right.

So, as long as the "people in this country" who don't "have much political knowledge or interest" don't vote for extremists it'll be alright,

We'll have to wait and see where Trump goes.

OR -

As long as the "people in this country" who don't "have much political knowledge or interest" don't vote for anything that will be bad for the country it'll be alright.

Maybe Trump wont be able to do too much damage.

There will be a post Trump era......normalish service will resume.

A-mur-ka has a (relatively modern, I'll grant ya) fascination with "dynasties". Perhaps they miss Royalty, so try to substitute with families instead.

The Kennedys. The Clintons. The Bushes (is that a correct pluralisation?!)

Unfortunately, they have added the Trumps to the list of prospective candidates......

If enough people vote for extremists governments tend to
Notice it gives them
A cause for concern ? As has been seen in Germany And Sweden

It's not so much as fascination more to do with the power of the elites. They all attend the same schools, colleges and Universities. Look at the current revelations and allegations being released about Judge Kavanaugh, he atteneded Georgetown Prep just like Gorsuch the most recent SCOTUS appointee.

These people simply operate in the same circles. Jeb Bush didn't make it this time but don't worry the Bush's have an ace up their sleeve - Jeb's son George Bush who is half latino so they think long term.

We need electoral reform in the UK and the US. Like the UK, in the US the election boils down to a few swing states and then a few counties in those swing states. The gerryamndering taking place in the US is obscene.

The current reduction of MPs from 650 to 600 and redrawing lines is the Tories doing gerrymandering.

Democracy currently in the UK and US is becoming more of a veneer.

Democracy ? Have a referendum and then the result should be ignored that's democracy :)

Join a trading block 40 years ago and it has morphed into some type of political union ? With decisions taken by a group of pencil pushers in some room with a nod and a wink over beer and sandwiches :) decisions from Somali pirates to labelling and circulation pumps on yer boiler
