it sounds like a new install, and in a bathroom too ...

what is the present supply from your Consumer unit protected with .. RCD or is it older tech ?

why did no one ask him that ??

I guess for £60 he is all Part P already ?

Back in Nov 07 it would still be the 16th edn brown cover regs so if it was in the zones then it would need to have been supp bonded if mains, poss RCD protected or SELV, but as an electrician was doing the work he should have known that anyway. Same with part p, eleccy should have known.
