Hi

Please help. I wish to connect my newly bought google Nest thermostat to Worcester Greenstar 8000 combi boiler. At the moment there is ESRTP4RF+ thermostat from ESi with the connections as in the photos. Can somebody guide me how these wires can be connected to the heat link please?

The wires are transferred from the ESi terminals to the Nest Heat Link terminals that have exactly the same function. So:

ESi N = Nest N
ESi L = Nest L
ESi 1 COM = Nest 2 Heating Common
ESi 2 ON = Nest 3 Heating Call for Heat
ESi Earth = Nest Earth

The Nest terminals are quite close together, so it's important that the wires are terminated safely so that the insulation is as close to the terminals as possible and there aren't any whiskers of wire poking out that could touch a neighbouring wire. Care is required, especially with the terminals that have two wires in.

If you wish to power the Nest thermostat from the Heat Link, it connects to T1 & T2, alternatively you can use a separate power supply for it.

Thanks a million Stem. Is it ok to connect 2 each of live, neutral and earth wires to the heatlink? The current thermostat link is sandwiched between boiler and mains.

Thank you

Yes.

Just to add - earth wires should always be connected together at accessories and appliances.
