Have they gone stark raving mad.
Thre's a shortage of doctors and nurses. Yet the government are threatening to sack them if they refuse to cross a picket line.

That'll help the shortage.

The doctors will just emigrate. Or go into private practice.

Don't often agree with your posts but on this, spot on. The Tories seem to be on an election suicide mission. Makes no sense to me. It's not a tactical thing, Labour will give them a right pasting anyway I think and rightly so.

Or even onto agency books and earn more from the same hospital that sacked them

That's the plan...

And have you noticed the marked increase in private health insurance adverts?

Most of the companies are US/nasty party backed...

Funny thing that

Steve Barclay (Health Secretary) was on the Beeb on Sunday.

About the latest Dr / Consultant strike: "This is a targeted and coordinated action."
Like that's a bad thing.

Perhaps this current government shower could take a leaf out of the strikers' books, and do a bit of "targeting and coordination" of their own :D
