I remember that Ashes series back in '81 also, it was remarkable.

52 years is a life cut short and very sad.

I do like international cricket and England are back in the world standings which is good to watch.

The footie fans will be scoffing next, claiming all sorts of boring this n that but at least in cricket and rugby we have world class players who play with pride and honour unlike their soccer equivalents.

Maybe if each player were to receive a few million quid, a wardrobe full of shoite-i'll wear what you wear clothes, a trophy wag and a mock tudor mansion in Cheshire, then maybe they will try and win an international competition.

Football (Association) is a great sport that is sullied by ignorant, overpaid, mindless yobs. As for their agents.... :rolleyes:

Not very funny fella.
He was a great cricketer who died far too young. Thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
