Did I hear right the other day, about some programme on telly about the finalists in this programme
I thought that the compere, some woman,on the Paul O'Grady show, forget her name, said that the final 5 were the following,
Robbie Williams, Paul M'cartney, The Queen, Maggie Thatcher, and David Beckham.
Please somebody, tell me I dreamt this.

yes......i find it amusing how blobby williams tops every poll going yet no-one has bothered to ask these polls outside of a daytime TV setting. its all frustrated housewifes with one hand on the remote and the other on the rampant rabbit.

if they had a greatest living tit poll at 3am on channel 5ive im sure blobby would still be number one though

LONDON (Reuters) - The Queen is the favourite to be voted the greatest living Briton at a glittering awards ceremony on Monday.

She is widely expected to lift the top accolade at the "Greatest Britons 2007" awards, designed to celebrate British achievement over the past year.

The title is voted for by the public, and other finalists are former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, pop star Robbie Williams, Baroness Margaret Thatcher and actress Dame Julie Andrews.

Viewers are expected to be able to vote for who they would like to see clinch the top title of "greatest living Briton" during the ceremony, due to be broadcast live on ITV at 9 p.m. on Monday.

It is the only one of a string of awards voted for by the public, ITV said.

Bookmaker William Hill said on Sunday the Queen was odds-on favourite at 4-6 to take the title.

OK I got Julie Andrews wrong, she doesn't even live in this country, but what the hell is going on.
