We have a newly installed Greenstar 8000 Life Boiler which is behaving exactly as it should!

My question is regarding the ECO setting which, after RTFM, simply turns the pre heating of the hot water off.
Can you wire the boiler, which is a combi, with a dual channel control that can over ride the ECO option when required?

i.e. I want the water to run on ECO most of the time but I would like to give it a boost sometime, before a shower, without crawling into the cupboard to turn the ECO off - simples?

Cheers and thanks for your help

Only one that might be able to do this would be Worcester’s own control. I know the Vaillant VRT50 did it for the Ecotec pro.

Thanks for the info.

I do not have the diagram for the boiler and I am NOT going to attempt anything myself!

The thought occured to me that if a demand was placed on the DHW input, if there is one on this model, then this may override the ECO setting.
I was also 'hoping' that this was a common setup and one that I can get put in place during the next service in May.

If it is then I can get the two channel kit in advance of the install and save two visits and, maybe, some cost.
