Ground works

Hi all I'm after a bit of advice. I have just started to finalize all the plans for my new 4x4m timber frame rear extension. So far I've sorted out my build over agreement with Southwest water. I've also got an architect drawing up full plan's for me so i can start getting quotes in for the above ground build. They wont be ready for a couple of weeks so i was wondering could i start getting company's around to quote for the ground work or is it best to wait for my plans to come back from my architect so they can see what will be built above ground

They would need to quote from plans.
