According to the Grundos web-site: The green indicator light indicates a healthy electrical supply. This also makes fault finding in the system easier; opening the terminal box is not required to check the electrical supply.
The first thing I would do would be to check the electrical circuit for loose connections.
The Icos HE15 is not a combi, it is a heat only boiler (Ideal call it a "system boiler" but, as it does not have an internal pump, I think this description is misleading.) This means that there will be one or more motorized valves in the circuit. The supply to the pump is controlled by the valves and their associated thermostats and programmers. So the whole electrical side needs to be carefully checked for intermittent operation.
