Newbie looking for some help.
I have an existing ground source heat pump installation which has worked fine for a number of years. I recently had a leak in my ground loops which I have now repaired but lost some fluid in the process so have topped up with water to get the system running. I have checked the glycol concentration with a refractometer and need some advice on what/how much I need to add to get back to where it should be. The refractometer readings are 1.18kg/l, -16 degrees (ethylene), -15 degrees (propylene)
I’m not sure what concentration I should be aiming for or what product I should use to top the system up. I don’t know what is in there at the moment other than it’s blue in colour. I’m in the frozen wastes of Scotland.
Any help would be appreciated.
