Guard for the teeth of a hand saw.

I've got a Stanley FatMax hand saw that came with a cardboard sleeve to cover / protect the saw blade and teeth. I've used that sleeve to cover the saw for years and of course it has now disintegrated. I'd hoped you could buy some kind of saw cover / guard but I've not managed to find anything online. I just need something to cover the teeth and protect other items from the teeth. I've seen a suggestion to use a long poster hanging clip for the task and I wondered if anyone on here has any idea or experience?

How about those plastic things, shaped like a small Toblerone, that are used to bind many sheets of A4 into something like a book

Google "slide binder" or "spine bar"

I find that by the time the cardboard has disintermediated its time to buy a new saw. I always try and keep it for too long but then thank myself for getting a new nice and sharp one. I still keep the dull one for stupid things like cutting channels in sand/ plaster walls, yes the teeth dont last long but its a scrap saw and makes less mess than an angle grinder.
