Guarded switch fuse?

As I've said, I don't think it would be silly for him to bring the issue to thee attention of his wife and 'encourage' her to be careful when doing things in the vicinity of thee FCU switch.

It very probably has already taken place - but whether in the past, present or future, I would not call it silly.

If the problem persists despite prior such conversations, then it might be worth trying to re-inforce thee messagee - but maybe that has also been tried.

What rather surprises me is that the OP's wife has managed to do this (at least twice). I've just spent a few minutes playing and, without getting ridiculously violent, I cannot operate the switch of a switched FCU by 'knocking things against it' - they really are pretty 'stiff' things.

I do wonder if the OP's wife thinks the OP is silly for leaving the heating on while away, and is making excuses about knocking the switch, rather than admitting she turned if off deliberately.

That would actually make sense - since, as I implied, unless she is stronger or more violent than me, I do find it hard to believe that she could (at least twice) manage to turn off an FCU switch accidentally by 'knocking' it.

Thanks, yes I've seen those but it's for a single switch fuse supplying the gas boiler.

Twice now it's been knocked off by SWMBO as she left the house to be away for a few days resulting in loss of Hive heating remote control and loss of heat to keep frost and damp at bay whilst away!
I think it's the bread bin's hinged lid that is at the correct height to push the switch off when opened! It's going to have to go....
Turn the switch through 180°
