Gully sticking above ground

Probably one of these:

You mentioned kitchen and wash, which go to a foul drain.

As I presume is the manhole.
Yes, they all connect to the manhole. So, without a trap, I might expect "pleasant" to be what you are saying.

Look at a 'Bottle Gully', these have an integral trap, so will sit lower than a Hopper and P Trap. Removing the bend on the end of the run, and fitting a Bottle gully might get you some of the reduction in height you need. https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast...mm/6244k#product_additional_details_container
Thanks. I am unsure if we'll have enough space for the bottle gully to be installed. One of my options since I won't have traps is to use this at the service chamber; has anyone used it? I looked at their videos and some reviews it seems to be working well.

The patio guys I've hired are incapable of delivering precise solutions, and what I am seeing is that we are ending up with 3 new gullies that are not gullies and have not got traps but are just straight into the pipe (1,2 and 4) number 3 is drain for the ACO; all pipes join into a service chamber that goes into the manhole. The flow is shown with arrows.

The property had already combined drainage systems before, and when I contacted the building regs inspector, he said it's fine as long as I don't connect new toilets, bathrooms, etc. As per the price I am paying around 7K for everything - digging, drainage, slabs. not sure if it's on the high end or low.

Stop now. Whatever you are being told is WRONG! You cannot connect to combined drainage system without using a trap. You will likely have a constant stench coming out of those open ends, as they are venting the sewer, making the outside space unpleasant, and unusable along with possibly risking the wrath of your Neighbours.

Building Control need to be involved now, and sort out the mess your 'Builder' is making, nothing you are talking about makes sense or sounds permissible.

What is a 'Service Chamber'? I've worked in and around drain for around Drains for 35 years and have never heard of this term!

I've just chucked two of these away. "Stainless" is an absolute lie. As rusty as something from a shipwreck after two years.

But it's not intended for what you're doing anyway. It sounds like you need a fundamental re-think, some plans and perhaps download the building regulations.

Hi Hugh, thanks for the advice, I stopped the work today. By service I mean inspection chamber, it's black

I have called the building regs inspector already, they will visit the property and suggest alterations. How could I have known what/where/when to do as a client, I expected the company I hired would sort and advise everything, instead of me doing a research on forums and internet. The thing is amongst the 5 companies I asked for a quote none of them gave any suggestions, just sent a quote and that's it.

Ah, an Inspection chamber, that's common practice, but they should be well aware of the implications of not installing Trapped Gullies when connecting to a combined drainage system.

Sadly I think they are relying on your ignorance in order to carry out substandard works, and by the time you realised there was an issue, they'd be long gone. Out of curiosity, do they have a Landline phone number and registered Business Address?

I am ignorant to some degree, but not totally clueless; hence, I started research. Regarding the landline - no, but they have a business address. Several people confirmed their work, but perhaps my patio project is above their expertise; that's my only explanation. I've sorted today a lot of things, and there are already trapped bottled gullies that will be installed, after the inspector gives the green light.
