Guttering advice to help with overflow/blockage

Hi All,
Looking for some great advice which is usually found here.

Two issues usually occur with very heavy rain.

The hopper catching the rain from the valley gutter right at the top is splashing onto the wall. When raining, it looks like water from the hopper connection to the pipe leaks out towards the wall. I clean the hopper so not sure if this is due to blockage from leaves/sticks from the roof due to the rain or just due to the large amount of water.

The second issue is that there is only one downspout for the entire length due to the side extension. Next door have the hopper with its own downspout and a separate downspout for the back. On heavy rains, the water overflows near the downspout into the house wall. Normal rain is no issue.

I have plenty of gutterers who are glad to clean the gutters for a price, but none have a good answer for the two issues. Should I try to increase the downflow somehow? Also, how can I prevent leaks from the hopper as it is so close to the back wall.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

First one- the hopper on the valley. Is there a drip edge from the valley into the hopper (a lead or whatever funnel leading down into the hopper rather than just the valley stops and water drops).
Still on the valley, that elbow would be an ideal place for cack to accumulate & cause your overflowing in heavy rain. If you can get to it safely, straighten a coathangar and have a prod about to see if there's a blockage.
Second, the fall on your main gutter (2nd pic) is wrong, it should be sloping towards the downpipe not away from it. Easiest fix would be another downpipe at the near end (where the pic was taken from), better fix is sort the fall.
On the subject of main gutter, it looks like the downpipe is actually the soil stack pipe. Not sure that's allowed, especially if you have separate surface and foul drainage connections.
The overflowing- whats the rough size of the roof? It looks quite big to me, possibly should have fitted deep gutters rather than standard. The downpipe (if it really is the stackpipe) will be able to cope no probs

Thanks oldbutnotdead for your great reply.

Yes there is a drip edge from the valley to the hopper. The photo is not great but you can see the edge.

I’ll have a look at the hopper elbow to see if anything is blocked.

I think the extra downpipe is feasible as there is a drain near the end of the house for the drainpipe. So thanks for the suggestion!
