Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. We moved into an old house and have been gradually doing it up, I got round to replacing the light switches this weekend. There is a hall light and landing light on 2 x 2 way switches on the same circuit. The hall switches always worked on both lights but the landing switch would only ever operate the landing light. My dad had a bash while I was out but has managed to balls it up and now we have no reference to how it previously once as a guide. I've put it together as per the image but have only got one of the landing switches operating the landing light and one of the hall switches operating the hall light. The diagrams I've seen show 2 x 3core running between the switches but I don't seem to have that much, just a bridging wire in the landing switch. I think it just needs bridging correctly but any help appreciated.

Which light do you want to be double switched, hall again or landing light? You don't have enough wires to have both of them switched. The diagram posted above is for smart switches which yours are not.

Thanks mate, I thought as much. I'm guessing the previous owners never had them working as both lights double switched. If I could go back to having it as it was, landing light to be operated by both switches that would be helpful for the time being. In order to do a proper job I'm guessing I need another 3 core cable to be pulled between the two switches?

Fraid so! Or you could use qinetic wireless switches I believe which don't require a neutral. For the time being, I'm not sure what the 3 wires coming from your landing light are? The red is presumably the live feed, and normally you would have a switched live back. Either that yellow or blue should probably be disconnected., unless theres another switch we don't know about? Will draw a pic

Thanks mate, I think the yellow on the landing was previously hidden I just linked it in to L2 on the off chance it did anything. No other switches on it.
