Hi, does anyone have an idea of how to check if this girder would support a hammock and how many kg would it take? I was going to drill a small hole for the rope on the part that's close to the wall, and just tie it off on the open part near the window. This is a mid terraced house, so would I have to get permission or anything to do that in case it affects the adjacent walls? Thanks for your thoughts, cheers.

F.

Is this actually for a sex swing?

It would appear to be a purlin, it's probably fine to do so, the connections will be near each end of course, does it deform if you hang on it?

Hi, no, just a regular hammock like this. It doesn't ,no. I tested that a few times and it feels/looks fine.. but I worry about constant weighing it down for instance, by using the hammock frequently.
