Hampton mower height adjustment

Hi

My mower Champion SP 484 rear height adjuster is just holes is the deck. The lever has a knob on it which locates in the desired hole for the height.

There is a split between height hole 1 & 2 so I either need to select 1 or 3 exausw of this split.
If I select 2 it then drops down to 1

Understand so far ?



I want something like this photo example where the lever locates in those metal teeth.

This isn’t my mower but look at attached photo as they has what I need in there 484 but mine is different.

Any done such modification.
My front wheels have this set up but the back wheels don’t.

Some machines have this 'ratchet' form of adjustment, others differ - some are welded to the deck, others bolted......maybe look around some of the dealers for an example, but of course there's no guarantee they will fit your deck.
With yours, it may be best to have the split welded up, and then the hole filed out.
Many's the time I've actually bolted the height adjuster solid for commercial customers, the adjusters being so fragile.....the Honda is the longest lasting.
