Hanging a mirror

Red dust means you have drilled into brickwork! You'll get a good fix into that.
Assuming you have used the correct drill, the plugs should gently tap in - but get rid of the dust in the hole first!
To shift an old plug, pop in a woodscrew a little way and tug the whole lot out with pliers.....or simply drill straight through it.

I went back to first holes, got the screw in the plug perfect, I sort of snapped the end off the plug that didn't go all the way in, but put the screw in there anyway nice n tight n it seems solid, so I've managed to hang the mirror n I think it's solid......does this sound safe to u burnerman???

Whey aye thats just fine.....if that happens its usual just to nip off the end of the plug with a sharp chisel.
