Have you noticed it's remainiacs who cry foul ! Illegal ! ?

Poor old filly...

Next thing you'll know is he'll be claiming it was 'the sun that got brexit done'...

Mind you there is a bit of truth in that given the IQ level of their average 'reader'!

BRUSSELS threatened to disrupt food exports from mainland Britain to Northern Ireland as negotiating leverage, The Sun can reveal.
Nonsense. This is what was written in your own article...

The EU has a “Third Country” list of approved third parties that can legally import agricultural goods into areas subject to their rules.

Brits were left seething after Michel Barnier’s team hinted the UK may not be given that legal status if talks collapse.

The EU are protecting their own as one would expect. Boz and his chum Dom make no secret of their disdain for all things EU. If the talks break down, i.e. no deal, then the EU will look at other third part status countries to deal with.

We left them remember after a concerted and long running anti-EU campaign that has Boris to thank for. I'm surprised they are even bothering with the present UK government. Time and tide will erase Bozza and his band of brexers.

One would also expect the UK to protect their own, wouldn't one?
I'd genuinely like to know why brexiteers wish to destroy healthy cross-country relationships and instead create division...

They have provided no evidence whatsoever as to how the EU has harmed them directly, and yet they are willing to risk going back to the bad old days by fermenting isolationalism and hatred!

46% UK exports go to EU
8% EU exports go to UK

EU have 5x more leverage, who do you think will win if both sides start "protecting their own"

And, EU trade could well fall even with a trade deal, because the best deal probably won't be as good as an EU deal, which will make UK services and products more expensive to EU buyers. So either we drop prices and make less money, or lose business completely.

It's going to be interesting times for the UK. 2020 was bad, 2021 could be a catastrophe.

Here's looking to 2022!

The EUs share of world trade is shrinking and once the UK leaves it will shrink even further.
84%of world trade is generated by non EU states, there are lots of other faster growing economies who want to do business with the UK and who wont demand the right to tell Brits what shape their bananas should be.

That old Brexit trope.

UK exports to EU have grown every year for the last 5 years.

EU share of global GDP is shrinking mostly because China has grown so much.

If you don't believe me, have a look at a USA it's share of global GDP is also shrinking

Good point. But, EU is on our doorstep. Do you shop at your local supermarket, or drive 300 miles to another one because there's a great offer on?

Yes, we can trade with other countries. But, it will cost us more, and we'll have to mark up our products more, which will make us less competitive. We need good deals, and we need a great deal with the EU!

The aren't actually shrinking they are just growing at a slower rate than their competitors.
The so called devoloping countries is where the UK should be concentrating their efforts to build trading relationships, these countries are the future.
The problem with the EU is that it is a political project more than an economic one.
Europhile David Cameron said he would like to see the EU expand as far as the Ural mountains, this expansionist mindset is typical of the EU andwill eventually lead to its downfall.
When you have and expanding power block like the EU trying to move into the territory of another power block like Russia then conflict is inevitable.
Better that the UK should get out of the EU before it falls apart.

Poor Boris.

It's hard when people want him to be like a grown-up.

"The withdrawal treaty from the EU that he now finds so unbearable as to justify breaching international law was the core of his election campaign last December. This was the “oven-ready deal” he promised a weary public would “get Brexit done”. FT.com

And people voted for it....

Can't see anyway out for Boris other than a no deal scenario.
The duplicity of the EU is such that any sort of agreement wouldn't be worth the paper it is written on.
