Just to reiterate what others have said, it's a sellers market so you don't need to be beaten down, but do front up the issue and that way you can tell prospective buyers you have already priced the issue in. Don't approach council - it's past time for enforcement, and as others have said it removes possibility of having indemnity insurance (which is actually indemnity against enforcement - totally useless insurance for old extensions, but it's cheap and ticks the boxes). If the work is good, then it should survey just fine and you should get full value. It's been up long enough now that if there are any problems you would probably be seeing obvious cracking (not just little shrinkage cracks, but obvious structural movement cracks). Assuming you have none of these then I'm fairly sure it's all good.
