Hi. First time here and looking for some help please!

I Have a Potterton Suprima 70 which developed a huge leak this morning and having stripped it down, the back right core plug in the Heat exchanger has a 1mm hole near the top! The rest of the core plugs (and boiler) seem to be fine.

Is it possible to have the heat exchanger re core-plugged, like you would when reconditionning a car engine block??

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Neil.

Yes it is, get the right fitting and use ptfe on the threads.

Thanks, but this is the knock in, cup type core. I now have the new (32mm) cup core and the old one out, but there seemed to be some kind of sealent used in the old one. Not seen this (when re-coring engine blocks?) before, so not sure if it's needed???

Thanks,

Neil.
