Heating a conservatory - 2 x 1250w radiant heaters

Found this about convection and radiant heaters.

I'm still slightly sceptical about this as the heater casing to the 'convector' heater gets too hot to touch, surely then, that is radiant heating. So you must get best of both, as convection will be coming out from the grille at the top.

I've got a Dimplex DX300TF In my conservatory. It has a 2kW convector plus a 1kW fan heater built in.

Because of the fan blowing warm air, the air in the conservatory feels warmer immediately. When it's warm enough, I turn off the fan and the convector keeps the chosen temperature on a thermostat. Warm up time when it's sub zero outside is well under an hour.

I chose it because as we only use our conservatory for short periods at the weekend, I wanted a fast warm up, and something that we could use on chilly summer evenings when the central heating wasn't on.

It also has a timer, but in practice it warms up so quickly, we never use it just switch it on when we want to go in.
