Hi all,

The bulkheads above the cooker rangers in our kitchen in the hotel are in desperate need of replacing and the bulbs are lasting less than a fortnight due to the heat getting into them.

Can anyone recommend a suitable bulkhead to replace them with which will withstand the heat above industrial cooker ranges?

Cheers

Kristian

What sort of fittings are there at the moment? If they're plastic, I can see why you're having problems. There are metal bulkheads available, and although not specifically sold as a high temperature fitting, they may be a better bet than whatever you have now. If you can find a lamp with an ES base that's designed to fit into an oven, I expect it will cope with the heat a little better.

Coughtree used to do suitable bulkhead fittings, however they recently when squit.

You should be using 'rough service' lamps.

There are some fluorescent fittings rating to suitable temps, google Victor.

Cheers guys.

I'll get in touch with my supplier and see if they can get those last ones or something similar.

Just to check, are they suitable for use in deep freezer rooms too?
