Well, you're going to love this.... So I bought a fancy fitting that you bolt one side to the ceiling (with the toggles) and can slip the hooked base in and out so the light fitting can be taken down easily. It has a limit of 5kg - all good there. (Trust the ceiling has about the same.. ) Fit that and go to wire on the light to the base part and realise the wire is quite old... covered in shiny gold material and best of all - all the wire casing is crumbling!

On the plus side I guess it really was an antique - how old do ya reckon it will be? Cable inside is red/black..

So after rewiring all 5 lights and earthing it its up but so far without the bowls in cos the missus needs to clean them. Looks a picture too
