Hello every one. I want to replace the old ceiling rose with a new light.

I can't think of any combination of blacks that would:
A) stop this and following lights working and
B) not trip breaker/blow fuse.

I'll guess the issue is with the reds. How have you connected the 3 of them together, if connector strip as suggested by EFL - how many have you used?

Thank you everyone. the wires were little loose, putting the right connectors resolved it. Everything is back on. I followed the wiring in above pictures. Thank you

I used these View attachment 326228 ceiling roses so I could wire lamp on the floor then lift up ready wired, it seems this make now discontinued but there are other makes.
It is quite a pity that Maestro Plug-In ceiling roses (such as those) are no longer available.

While plastic substitutes are available, they are nowhere near as good as the "Maestro" was - and is, if you still have one!
