I have just repaired a pair of rotten joists just because the first bath wasn't adequately sealed for a shower. I'll soon be ready to rebuild the partition wall over the joists and then rebuild the bathroom.
My point is - it is worth sealing it properly.
When I put the bath back, should I screw battens to the wall then screw the batten at each end to the wooden strip moulded into the plastic bath? This should support a flexible silicone seal between the bath and wall.
Any thoughts about a Wickes Bath Seal? Wickes say to fill the bath before applying sealant and leave to set.
