Help for a newbie.

If I go to a customers home and spend an hour fiddling on their kitchen table with springs shooting out and tiny parts falling on the floor, I am stuck there for an hour! The customer is stuck waiting for me to finish!

I would want to charge an extra £60 to cover my time, the kit is £20 so just another £15 for a new valve and I am out quickly ( to do another repair ) the customer can go out shopping and I know its going to work for another five years without any problems.

I did try to change the brushes on my Frontera alternator though. But the bearings were worn and the fault was not the brushes anyway ( broken strap connection ) so I repaired it and refitted it until I can find a used one to refurbish. But thats different! Its my free time and saves me about £120 for the new part and my refurb will be as good as new and better than the "new" ones sold which dont always have all the parts replaced.
