Help identify new boiler

Filling loop on a Worcester is a push button; they've gone from the most difficult to the easiest.

If you want a boiler that will be supported for years by a manufacturer who cares and has 320 engineers and a huge call centre open 7 days get a Worcester Bosch.
.

......and one of the worst boilers on the market!! Plastic fantastic!!! Over priced rubbish & you're paying for their large marketing & advertising.

Being old does not equate to being stupid. You need to realise that old people are clever enough to have reached their present age. The eldest in our population survived a world war, as well as coming to grips with things like putting the washing through the mangle without flattening all their fingers.
:LOL::rolleyes:

My Granny got her t.ts caught in the mangle la. A very resilient women, 60 fags & a bottle of vodka a day. She died a young 98.

Best boiler on the market would be the Vaillant , especially so when you want to rid your customers.
Is that a responsible attitude, fit and forget.....

The OP wanted help in deciding which boiler would be the best option for the new boiler in his mother circumstances. Life style and the owner's ability to cope with technology are important factors in the decision process.

Someone mentioned that one type of boiler has press button re-pressurising of the radiator system. Sounds like a good idea until ne looks a bit further and asks questions. How does the owner know whem to press the button ? Does ths involve reading a pressure dial at regular intervals to monitor the pressure ? When does the button have to be released ? Does that involve reading the pressure gauge while holding the button until the gauge indicates the correct pressure has been reached. ?

I really don't understand how you've not been banned BG,

Maybe that is because having an opinion which is different to your opinion is not reason for a person to banned.

I can't understand why you cannot answer questions ( about the push button filling loops for example ) but instead you resort to feeble attempts to dispose of people who (1) dis-agree with you and (2) ask questions you choose to not answer, ( that is assuming you could answer them if you wanted to ).

Like most of the Tradesmen, I'll only answer limited questions on the P&H forum. Until the Mods start removing the 'retired engineering Google Warriors', frankly I can't be arzed!!

Correct.old does definetly not mean stupid.but in general it does mean poor eyesight.less flexibility.less strength.i am 53..not overweight.average flexibility..average intelligence.25 years piddling around gas eqpt..and i find vaillant fill loops a tit on...and that white plastic wb key..with the tiny lock /unlock symbol...the designer of that is certifiable.

White key is obsolete. Agreed it was awful, but it was replaced some time ago.

Pointless posting up IGUKs annual statement, they're a subsidiary and owned entirely by the Dutch parent company.

See if you can find out the value of Intergas Holland?

One of the fastest growing brands in the uk. Remind me how many boilers Worcester sell in Holland again??

People are worried enough that they feel the need to criticise the boilers - even if they have never seen one!

The last & final WB boiler I fitted had a plastic jig to hang the boiler on & I thought this pile of shyte is going to fall off the wall not today, not next month, not next year but soon.
Double the price of Intergas & half the quality.

Without question Intergas are winning a very large share of the new boiler market & I've never seen any appliance win over installers so quickly. I know there's a few of the National Housebuilders looking at them too.

Well I'm questioning it.

I'm always interested to hear from a time served 40 yrs man and boy specialist in marketing. First U bends, now marketing.

So what is their market share of the UK domestic boiler market?

Bigger than Whoofter Botch's share of the Holland market.
Perhaps Intergas should start bribing Which to increase its share in the UK?? But frankly they don't need to resort to any such underhand criminal activity, they have a quality product & they're winning over installers left, right & centre.

WB boilers are overpriced rubbish & I feel sorry for installers that have been brain washed by their dodgy Reps. One of which knowingly arranged for boilers to be sold to non GS registered installers - but hey it's all about the figures!!
