Good post BAS but if doing all that you should include wiring for a intruder alarm and fire detection as well.

For the basic cost involved it is silly not to. And if not bothered about an intruder alarm a decent fire detection ( and CO) system is a no brainer.

Well, I suppose he 'knows' by being a builder and having some experience. Again I will get a proper guy in in due time, didn't seem to be a need to bring in 10 specialists at once

I will rethink the lights, took many photos so will draw up lighting plans per room and hopefully that will do. Good points about alarms, IT and outside lights, I might have forgotten! There are a few words there that I don't get but I'll show your list to the electrician to hopefully discuss as if I knew what I was talking about

And of course, all work will be done without us living there, I want it done asap before moving in.
