If your fuse box is Wylex Standard range, then you can fit a device of >30A if it has a main switch rated at 100A.

You can choose between a 45A cartridge fuse, or a 40A plug-in MCB.

I would recommend changing all the fuses for mcb's if you can't afford the change the whole lot, as mcb's are much better suited.
