If you find that one of the brown wires from terminal 7 of the wiring centre connects directly to terminal 4 of the programmer (...and that should mean that the other brown wire connects to the L of the thermostat); the programmer brown wire in 7, could then replace the grey (with brown sleeve) wire in terminal 6.
