Hey can anyone help explain how to flush a sealed C/H system through the filling loop. Is it a case of draining the systems. Then turning the filling loop on while the drain off is still open and flush till the water comes out clear? how do I make sure water gets through all the raditors/ pipework? Thanks for any help.

Openning the filling loop will not flush the system, you need chemicals and a Powerflush Machine :)

if your drain is on the other pipe to where the filling loop enters the system (flow and return), and you isolate the circuit with a pump valve or boiler isolation valve or something, so that the water enters the system at the fill point, is forced to travel in only one direction through the system, and then exists through the drain at the other end of the loop (on the other pipe), then that will work and is reffered to as mains flushing.

someone else can probably word it better im sure
